At #CES2023, Sony and Honda showcased their new electric car prototype, Afeela. The joint venture — Sony Honda Mobility — says Afeela will give its drivers an “interactive relationship” by utilizing sensing and AI technology. Afeela will be equipped with 45 cameras and sensors inside and outside the vehicle, in part to help detect the driver’s condition, prevent accidents and drive autonomously. Afeela also aims to provide a “best-in-class” entertainment experience with movies, games and music. Sony Honda Mobility says the car is set to go on sale in North America in 2026.
